Hi I am Xime and I am a Spanish teacher. Originally from Ecuador, my husband and I now live in Stourport with our 2 lovely children and a dog.
When I lived in Ecuador I trained as a Biologist and was lucky enough to work in the rain forest. One of the projects I was part of, was in one of the Amazon rivers studying fish and turtles, and it became obvious to see how pollution in all different forms was affecting the fauna and although it was not the biggest, cleaning products like soap was one of them as the chemicals in them is highly pollutant.
I remembered then, that when I was in one of my chemistry lessons I learnt how to make soaps, so years later when I had the opportunity between family and work, I started researching different oils and re-learning on how important is to know what we put in our bodies and in the environment and also to avoid plastic packaging which doesn’t degrade and needs to be recycled.
